The design of the Race 2009 is improved after extensive testing and input from windsurfers. Wider luff pockets, improved softer sock material, tighter upper leach, higher boom slot, new material selection incorporating new graduated monofilm, metal X-ply, composite Xply luff pocket material, and redesigned batten tensioners gives smoother exit flow and symmetrical leach shape.
